excerpt:"The first season finale of 'Louie' (Tuesdays at 11PM ET on FX) felt like a season finale, like Louie was summarizing not only the past season but also telling audiences "this is who I am." My guess is that he made it almost as a series finale, because his experience with 'Lucky Louie' taught him that a second season was far from a guarantee.

The episode is Louie, and 'Louie,' in a nutshell: awkward dates, stand-up comedy, and being a dad. In fact, in a lot of respects, it's not much different from what we saw in the pilot, where Louie did stand-up, went on a field trip with one of his daughters, and went on an awkward date. There's no revelations in this season, no epiphanies; this is what his life is ... and that's OK.

Give Louie credit; he tried to do something different this time around, after remembering he hired a sitter so he could spend a night out. He didn't want to go, b

    the scene in the club was so perfect.

    i love this series. i enjoyed the HBO series but could see why it wasnt renewed. this series is much better, and i hope it returns.

    Great episode, love the series. Does anyone know the name of the song at the end when Louie is having breakfast with his daughters?? Would love to find out if anyone has any idea...
