We have become a "super sized" addictive prone society. People drink their liver to death or smoke until their lungs are full of tar. Then as the author noted look for the "quick fix". Sorry it don't work that way we need to take responsibilityfor our own actions. My personal story is one of triumph over what would have ended my life early. Youthful indiscretions caught up with me smoking and liver disease were destroying me from the inside. I did a 180 and changed my lifestyle wanting to around for little longer. By quiting smoking my lungs regenerated, drug therapy allowed my liver to regenerate. I see my doctor twice a year he calls me the poster boy for what can be accomplished.

Thank you for sharing your story - glad you had success.

Two other good things to read are the Fast Food Nation book and the version of it for kids, Chew on This
