For me, And I can't speak for everyone, Generally it would be the physical stimulation of the penis. Not trying to oversimplify this here or anything.. Also, exhiliration is exhiliration, fear and sex both get that side of the body going, I wouldn't be shocked if fear alone could get me there, but if any couples want to entrap me and then "force" me to have sex, I'm willing to give it a shot in the name of science, and curiosity, and one more thing.. Oh yea, sex.
Im not sure we should be implying he wanted to be assaulted because he was hard.. That might not be as bad as saying "She was asking for it", but its definitely of the same league..

While I understand the exhilaration of simulated forced sex I cannot imagine a scenario as portrayed in the article as being exhilarating or stimulating. Then again the victim did have a relationship with the female.

If true, this sounds like a setup and yeah, that man was a victim of sexual assault to say the least. Sex games are one thing but this guy sounds like an unwilling participant. They stalked him, lured him in, restrained him and forced him against his will. If that's not rape, it's damned close.
