What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

A big story in this month’s edition of O. magazine starts out with a sex educator in the basement of a church teaching a room full of students how to masturbate in public. “It’s nice just to be touched at all,” says one woman. “It made me wish someone else were touching me,” says another. OK, disclaimer here: For the purpose of the exercise, the students were merely touching their own hands with their eyes closed. And everyone in the room was over the age of 18; most were over the age of 35. Still, the fascinating question provoked by this piece on adult sex education is this: What would sex ed look like if one began from the rather obvious premise that everyone in the room would have sex and that the goal is to give each person the best means to ensure they enjoy it as much as possible?

"If you can't be with the one you love, honey..."

I'm not sure this is what Stephen Stills was singing about.

My first long term lover was a rather reserved older female who bordered on being a nymphomaniac. I give her credit for helping me make my wife of nearly 40 years multiple orgasmic.

We would be a happier society sexually if newbies to the sport were taught the mechanics of patience and pleasure. In my opinion, a female should have one orgasim before the mounting process starts.

Agreed! I always try to start with at least one for her before the "mounting process"... lol I like the wording there.

And you're right... there really needs to be some instructional classes out there. Not just how to use a condom and scary stories about STD's... but like you said there are certain mechanics involved and people have questions that they don't know are not only normal, but most erryone else has them too.

I have talked with a few people who claim their partner is bad in bed, but in the back of my mind I am thinking, they probably have a bad teacher. But there again, everyone is different.

Ya... and how about if your partner is not as good as you want them to be.... TEACH them what you want them to know... duh!

When you get a new job they don't just throw you on the production line... you go through training classes first. Then you practice while someone else is helping you out for a while. Which makes for a really funny analogy to sex lol

I assume there is a whole World of people out there who cannot communicate when it comes to the taboo subject of sex.

Maybe the taboo part keeps the drive alive. Titillating, so to speak. A venture into the unknown.
