My Vinemeet Austin Slide Show

Ron Baker is quite an actor

Modelling a Daniel Boone hat Brenda bought for one of her kids

Will Eiffert using the one room which had wireless connection all weekend

while Brenda and Ron talk outside

Shot these so Winsome can analyze them for me.

As I did for Vinemeet Ohio and Vinemeet dc I took photos of the vinemeet. I also shared a few of them over here.

A few of these are from others - when that happens I'll note it in the captions

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

LOL only in Austin... it was pretty cool though, the house's owner was outside and amused at our admiring it!

It was for the most part quite fun

I did get exhausted at times but that was mostly due to the there temperature levels there: hot, hotter and hottest

First rule of vinemeet austin, there is no roster for who attended vinemeet austin

The two guys I live with are both wearing their Austin TX t-shirts today while I'm wearing one I bought that says "Music saved my life" and shows a photo of a person in a hospital bed with iv tubes attached to a stereo.

I thought about wearing my other shirt I bought in Austin - that says "Beat drums not people" - but since I was headed to jury duty I wasn't sure if that'd be a wise move.

I bought shirts for the two singer/guitarists the guys and I go see play a few nites a week. They didn't have the right sizes for the shirts I wanted- one said "born to rock, forced to work" and the other said "weapons of mass distortion" next to photos of guitars.

So instead I bought them ones that said "these are a few of my favorite strings" and has photos of classic guitars.

I was thinking about you but seeing as I left for Slovenia Monday, a weekend trip was pretty much out of the question.

We need to talk Calvin into Vinemeet-Ljubljana. This place is wonderful.

My co-author and I presented a paper today at the 2nd Global International Studies Conference. Not really a research jaunt, but the paper is directly related to the book (as in it's the introduction).

The city is beautiful, the people are fantastic, I finally located shampoo--life is good.

And our presentation was a hit--]we got many comments--some questioning our approach, some our theory, and several our sanity--but everyone is paying attention.

              Loving the humor!!!

I lived in Arkansas for one year in between growing up in So cal and moving to Md. You want to talk culture shock. THAT was culture shock? I'd see people waving and would be wondering "who and what are they waving at?"

South has its downsides but its upsides too.

Some day, I would like to know where you work or what you will be doing. Since you are moving for the reason I'm not suppose to say, it must be something special.
