I thought it would be interesting to compare notes on what we are reading, both to offer recommendations and to provide warnings.
If you plan to read at least 25 books this year consider joining the Newsvine Reading Challenge. (It was set at 50 but I lowered the bar)
Personally I'm shooting to read 100 books again this year – I made it to about 77 in 2007. I kept track of my progress here and will be updating that list every few months as I read new books and do more author interviews.
I've always loved reading and writing, to the extent that I've been known to dream in text and have trouble appreciating good music with weak lyrics and I used to love to get sent to my room as a child because it meant more time to sit and read.
If you would like to review books come by here, where I loan out and/or give away for free books to review which I'm sent by publishers. The only condition is you have to write a review. I'd love to see more people here writing reviews of books and then clipping them to the Review Café, a group set up for the purpose of original reviews written by Newsviners.
