For those who believe in UFOs I suspect this is a HUGE deal.
WASHINGTON - NASA has agreed to search its archives once again for documents on a 1965 UFO incident in Pennsylvania, a step the space agency fought in federal court. The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
There was a show just recently about this, some people think it was alien(non-earthly), some think it was a crashed russian sattelite, some think it was a crashed experimental US plane.
It's about time. If there is nothing to hide and no aliens, then why all the secrecy?
some think it was a crashed experimental US plane
This seems like the most logical explanation.
I know some who are convinced that is the case and some who are convinced there are too many weird reports to make sense.
I'm reserving judgement.
Yeh-I gotta admit -there are a lot of weird abduction cases, etc. Hopefully there'll be (at least)something interesting that comes out of this.
I worked for NASA at the time. (yes, you have met a bona fide rocket scientist) The lead agency in any UFO incident has always been the Air Farce (no misspelling). The only organization with the complete information is the Air Farce. Classified material was very carefully guarded in those days. You never got anything without have a real "need to know". NASA never had all the information.
Wow, we should put together a Newsvine reality show - Are you smarter than a rocket scientist?
Hey, I have a hard time beating the 5th graders! Now you want to add to the pressure?
